The China International Import Expo took place this fall from 5-10. November 2018 in Shanghai. The aim of the exhibition was to connect companies with competitive product and service portfolios with potential Chinese partners, distributors and resellers.
The exhibition took place on 210,000 m2, of which 30,000 m2 was reserved for services. The Chinese organizers welcomed exhibitors and interested parties from more than a hundred countries.
From Europe, Great Britain, Germany and Hungary participated at the expo.
GYSEV CARGO Zrt. was also invited by the Hungarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce CHINACHAM, as co-exhibitor. The Hungarian logistics service providers presented themselves on a 70 m² exhibition stand with a shared meeting section and multimedia, which attracted many interested parties during the five days of the exhibition.
At the exhibition, the objective was set to implement container transport from China to EU member states on the Silk Road. Hungary is insofar involved that the transports would run through Záhony while the final customs clearance and the distribution of the containers would take place in Hungary.
In this respect a vigorous acquisition activity is taking place, assuring the Chinese exporters that the implementation of the container transport will eventually prove to be a good decision.
The process and the value stability of the customs clearance in the EU is yet to be clarified, its elaboration is in progress.
In addition, it is of particular importance for GYSEV CARGO that the container terminal of Sopron plays an important role in this process, since all conditions are available for the handling of containers from China and the transports would also mean an additional source of revenue for the company.
