At the Transport Logistics Conference organised by the MLSZKSZ, our company was certified as a logistics park, together with 56 other logistics companies.
The new certification scheme adopted by the government last year, modelled on the industrial parks, aims to create a unified regulatory, certification and monitoring system in which investments in the logistics services sector are made in a coordinated and more efficient way.
Those awarded the title will be able to apply for targeted support programmes, receive targeted benefits and have their application for designation as a case of major economic importance assessed under a simplified procedure.
The new legislation divides logistics parks into three categories:
- intermodal logistics park
- regional logistics park
- regional logistics park
The logistics sector is one of the foundations of economic growth, with nearly 2 500 companies and 300 000 employees, providing a livelihood for around 100 000 families. The sector currently accounts for 5% of GDP and the government's target is to increase this to 10%, which will further strengthen the role of the Hungarian economy as a bridge connecting macro-regions.
